about hestia
Hestia, our namesake, is the Greek goddess of hearth and home. She carries within her elements of sanctuary, warmth, and centeredness. As a farm located in the heart of Lakewood, Colorado, we often feel like a quiet space in the center of urban energy.
Symbolically, Hestia is shown as a circle to represent her inherent wholeness and completeness. In coming to know this home and the land, we have discovered that this house was built by and for strong women – and the land tended to similarly. As we experience the same rhythm of seasons and cycles felt by those who came before us, Hestia reminds us how to find our place in the wholeness that already exists.
